Saturday 6/13/99

We pulled out at about 9:00 AM up 28. The road through the Adirondack was great,
we also ran in lots of bike going to or from the Americade Motorcycle rally.

The
Adirondack Mountains were beautiful, I seen one of the most fantastic views,
No picture but I have it in memory.
We were climbing a twisty hill, I looked in the rear view mirror and
behind me were the 3 other bikes going through the twisties and the enormous
Blue Mountain was behind them,
It would have been a great ad for motorcycles.

We took the ferry at
Essex from NY to Vermont. We stopped for lunch at an old windmill,
I was brave and tried the local favorite “Red Hots” They said they were hot, but maybe New England
hot, but not Southern Indiana, hot and no where near Texas Hot.

Across Vermont and in to New Hampshire.
Our first impression of New Hampshire was not good as the roads are in terrible shape.
We pulled in the Eastern Slope Inn in North Conway at about 6:00 PM.

We traveled a little over 300 miles of rolling twisty back roads.
At the condo it was in to the hot tub and pool then out to eat and back to the room to
plan what to do Sunday.
Later we went to the grocery store to stock up on food and stuff. You know you have to have your stuff.
The Eastern Slope Inn was great, they let us park our bikes on the front porch under cover.
