At the October 15th meeting , Jeff Hopkens, auto body professor at Vincennes University, gave a brief presentation and answer questions about the repair of plastics body parts such as bumper covers, fenders, aprons radiator tanks, windshield reservoirs, consoles and more. Hints on how to tell Polyurethane (PUR, RIM) from Polypropylene (PP) from ABS from Polyethylene (PE) from TPO from TEO from TPE from Nylon (PE) from Polycarbonate (PC) from Uni-Weld Fiber Flex and so on. He touched on both epoxy and plastic weld repairs. It was very informative and he answered lots of questions afterwards.
